Police have identified the man killed in a double shooting Tuesday night.
Gul Mohammed Alakoozi, 32, of Ajax, was one of two men shot in Vaughan, Ont. He was found outside a residence on Via Borgehese Street and died of his injuries at the scene, police say.
Another 26-year-old man from Toronto was also shot. He was rushed to hospital, where he remains. Police have not identified him.
Police were called to the area shortly after 10 p.m. following reports that shots were fired. Investigators say multiple male suspects fled on foot after the shooting. They are believed to have left the area in a vehicle that was parked nearby.
The suspects are described as black and were last seen wearing dark-coloured hooded sweatshirts.
