BARRIE, Ont. - A man didn't want a taxi ride in Barrie -- he wanted the taxi.
Police say a man brandished a broken bottle at two taxi drivers behind the Kozlov Mall on Wednesday evening and demanded they give him a cab.
A fight broke out when the suspect tried to steal one of the taxis.
He then fled in a vehicle he had arrived in.
Investigators say that with the assistance of the Toronto police, the suspect was arrested and returned to Barrie.
He was charged with assault with a weapon and robbery, and held for a bail hearing set for this morning.
