Police are looking for a suspect accused of robbing a cellphone store at gunpoint last week in Pickering.

The incident occurred on Aug. 26 just before 2:15 p.m. in the Kingston and Liverpool roads area.

One employee was working at a Wind Mobile store when a man walked in, pointed a black handgun at the employee and demanded cash and merchandise, police said. The man reportedly continued to point the gun as the employee filled a bag.

The man then fled on foot through the store’s back door, police said.

Police are looking for a suspect who is described as a male with dark skin and a medium build. He is approximately five-foot-nine and was wearing a dark jacket with his face covered with a green cloth. He had a scar on his neck that was about one inch long.

Police are asking anyone with information to come forward.
