A pedestrian was taken to hospital in critical condition after being hit by a vehicle near Eglinton Avenue and Brimley Road Friday night.

The man, in his 30s, did not have vital signs when emergency crews arrived on the scene just after 10 p.m.

The man was transported to Sunnbrook Hospital where paramedics could be seen performing CPR on the patient as they took him inside.

Police shut down Eglinton Avenue as they investigated the cause of the collision.
