One person was arrested after a vehicle slammed into a pole in the Forest Hill South area Saturday night.
Police received a call about a traffic incident at Bathurst Street and Tichester Road at around 10: 50 p.m.
Officers arrived to find the hydro pole leaning over, with a single vehicle mounted on the sidewalk.
Reports from the scene indicate that the driver initially fled, however he was apprehended by police a short time later and taken into custody on suspicion of impaired driving.
Bathurst Street remains shut down both ways between St. Clair and Montclair avenues as crews clean up the damage from the collision.
