Peel Regional Police say one person is dead and three others were slightly injured after a crash in central Mississauga on Friday evening that involved four separate vehicles.
Police say they were called to the intersection of Britannia Road and Latimer Drive sometime before 7 p.m. for a report of a crash involving four vehicles.
Paramedics at the scene say several occupants of vehicles required extrication by firefighters.
One victim was taken from the scene via land ambulance and was later pronounced dead, Const. Baljit Saini said. Three other people were treated for minor injuries at the scene, paramedics said.
Two ORNGE air ambulances originally called to the scene were waved off.
The intersection of Latimer Drive and Britannia Road is closed to allow for a police investigation.
