KINGSTON, Ont. - Natalie Lambert has made it to shore at Kingston, Ont. to become the youngest person to swim across Lake Ontario.

The 14-year-old girl reached Confederation Basin just after 9:30 a.m., less than 24 hours after entering the lake at Sackett's Harbour, N.Y.

Hundreds of supporters gathered in the park to cheer the marathon swimmer as she approached the shore.

Natalie, who had to cancel a previous attempt to cross the lake in early August due to high waves, says she plans to eat and sleep the rest of the day.

She hopes to raise $52,000 for a program for disabled children at the Kingston YMCA.
