Dozens of young music fans braved the rain on Monday for an opportunity to get their hands on a wristband for the 2015 Much Music Video Awards.
The star-filled annual show takes places on June 21, but fans can begin lining up for a wristband at the corner of Richmond Street West and John Street beginning 7 a.m. Monday.
For those who don't have the patience to queue in line, organizers said they would be handing out numbered sheets to a hold a person's place at 12 p.m., 4 p.m., and 8 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday. Organizers will also be distributing free wristbands on Wednesday beginning at 2 p.m.
But despite the opportunity to skip the long line -- and to stay dry indoors -- some still opted to head downtown to grab a wristband, describing it as a not-to-be-missed experience.
"We actually shared an umbrella with a bunch of people and just cope with that," one person in line told CTV Toronto.
"It's a good experience to have," said another. "We can go back and talk about how we camped out on the streets of Toronto."
Many also shared their street camping experience on Twitter on Monday.

The lineup for the #MMVAWristbands is ridiculous. It's raining and you're "camping" on the street until Wednesday afternoon. @Much
