A Milton neighbourhood is searching for answers after police ruled that an area father and son who were found dead on Saturday afternoon died as a result of a murder-suicide.

Following a post-mortem examination that was conducted on Sunday, police said the exact cause of death for both victims has been established but will not be released.

The bodies of Wojciech Kosalka, 43, and his six-year-old son Noah were found at a home on Clark Boulevard near Thompson Road South, early Saturday afternoon.

Neighbours told CTV Toronto they feel for the Kosalka family.

“I saw the grandparents come out of the house, she had to be helped out of the house. She was very distraught, holding a child’s blanket,” said neighbour Greg Wilson.

Wilson remembered Noah as a happy little boy.

“He was just a normal, playful little boy that should not be gone,” he said.

The neighbours also said the boy and his father seemed to have an especially close relationship, which leaves them wondering what could have gone wrong.

Members of the Halton Homicide Unit are continuing to investigate the case.
