A 26-year-old man was killed and his parents were injured after a vehicle collided with a TTC bus in L'Amoreaux this morning.

It happened near Warden and Finch avenues at around 6:30 a.m.

The man was found without vital signs at the scene and died from his injuries, according to Toronto Paramedics Services.

The man’s parents were transported to hospital.

The circumstances that led up to the crash were not immediately clear but paramedics said no one from the TTC bus was injured.

“This red (Nissan) Versa rear-ended the stopped vehicle. As to why, we don't know and we are still investigating that,” Sgt. Dora Paylidis told CTV Toronto.

A 52-year-old woman was driving the vehicle with two passengers south on Warden when the collision occurred, police said.

TTC spokesperson Brad Ross said he believes the bus was stationary at the time of the crash.

"Certainly our condolences to the family and friends of the young individual who was so tragically killed," Ross told CP24 Tuesday.

"The investigation is in the very early stages right now."

Police are investigating whether the injured parties were wearing seatbelts.

Warden Avenue was closed in both directions at Finch Avenue to accommodate the police investigation into the crash.
