A Schomberg, Ont. man who had been charged in a 2011 double homicide has been found not criminally responsible for the incident.

James Wilson, 76, of Orangeville, and William Allan Jones, 76, of Schomberg, died following an altercation on Aug. 30, 2011.

Police were called to an industrial building on Lloydtown-Aurora Road, just east of Highway 27, at approximately 10:25 a.m. One man was dead when police arrived, while the second succumbed to his injuries in hospital.

Robert Abernathy, 51, was arrested at the scene, and was charged the next day with two counts of second-degree murder.

On Thursday, a judge found Abernathy not criminally responsible for the deaths.
