Peel Regional Police have charged one man after a stabbing in Mississauga Saturday.

Police said one man was suffering from stab wounds after they were called to an address on Goreway Drive around 12:36 a.m.

The victim was rushed to hospital with injuries that were believed to be life-threatening. He was stabilized in hospital and is expected to make a full recovery, police said in a news release Saturday evening.

Police did not provide details about the circumstances leading up to the stabbing

Lejon Heron, 34, of Toronto has been arrested and charged with aggravated assault, police said.

He is expected to make a court appearance Sunday morning.
