Police in York Region are searching for suspects after a man was assaulted and robbed in a gas station parking lot in Markham early this morning.
It happened near 16th Avenue and Woodbine Avenue at around 2:30 a.m.
Police say the suspects, armed with metal bars, exited a vehicle and demanded cash from the victim.
The suspect, investigators say, stole an undisclosed quantity of cash and injured the victim with the weapons they were carrying.
Following the robbery and assault, the suspects fled the area in a beige Honda, police say.
The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Helicopter and ground searches were conducted and investigators say the search continues for the suspects.
