A 22-year-old Toronto man is facing multiple charges after a police investigation allegedly yielded a loaded firearm.
According to police, officers patrolling on Willowridge Road near Eglinton Avenue West on Monday witnessed a man, who appeared to be armed, getting out of a vehicle.
When the officers investigated the man, it’s alleged they found a loaded 9mm Taurus firearm tucked into his waistband.
A suspect identified as Abdullahi Hashi has been charged with six firearms-related offences, including unauthorized possession of a prohibited weapon, failure to comply with probation and careless use of a firearm.
He is due in court on the charges sometime today.
