Police say that 15 shell casings were found on a Lawrence Heights street after a barrage of gunfire was heard early Friday morning.
Officers responded to the Lawrence Avenue West and Shermount Avenue area at around 1 a.m. for a call about the sound of gunshots.
Upon arrival, police located the shell casings but did not find any victims.
Police say they have not yet determined whether the shell casings could have come from different guns.
No arrests have been made and no descriptions of potential suspects have been released.
