Police have released images of a suspect they are seeking, after two women were sexually assaulted by an intruder who forced himself into their north Toronto home on Monday morning.

According to Const. Tony Vella, a man knocked on the door of the Woburn Avenue home shortly after 10 a.m., claiming he was selling newspapers.

When the women answered the door, he forced his way into the house before assaulting them. Police say he was armed with a knife.

The suspect sustained a wound on his torso and then fled the scene, said Vella.

Vella said the attacks are serious in nature, and one of the victims was taken to hospital. The victims are 30 and 25 years of age.

The suspect is described as white, 5’10” to 6’0” tall, with a medium build, dark hair and clean-shaven face. He was last seen wearing a black nylon jacket, black pants, a grey shirt and was carrying a white bag.

Police ask that anyone with information about this case contact the sex crimes unit at 416-808-7474 or Crime Stoppers at 416-222-8477.
