A 15-year-old boy charged late last month with numerous counts of sexual assault in connection to a string of attacks is now facing further charges.
The youth -- who cannot be named due to his age -- was charged with two more sex assaults on Monday, bringing the total count to 16.
The suspect will be back in court Tuesday to set a date for his bail review.
The attacks in Toronto’s Christie Pits neighbourhood started during the summer and continued into the fall, leaving woman in the area frightened to walk the streets alone at night.
The boy is accused of targeting 16 different women, all strangers, walking in the Christie Pits neighbourhood between Aug. 16 and Oct. 20.
Police said 14 victims were sexually assaulted in a similar manner -- groped from behind -- and two were criminally harassed.
