In advance of the 2014 Honda Indy Toronto this weekend, sections of Strachan Avenue and Lake Shore Boulevard will be temporarily closed in both directions on Wednesday until late Sunday night.

The City of Toronto says Strachan Avenue, from Lake Shore Boulevard to Fleet Street, will be shut down Wednesday at noon; and Lake Shore Boulevard, from Strachan Avenue to British Columbia Drive, will be closed at 9 p.m. Both closures will remain in effect until Sunday at 11:59 p.m.

Drivers wishing to access Ontario Place can do so from Lake Shore Boulevard at Strachan Avenue.

This year's Honda Indy Toronto will officially roar into town on Friday and wrap up on Sunday. The grand marshal for the 2.82 kilometre long race will be the new bachelor from Season 2's "The Bachelor Canada."
