TORONTO -- One person is dead following an overnight accident on Highway 401 in west-end Toronto.
Police say a car that may have been disabled was moving slowly in the right shoulder at about 3 a.m. when it was rear-ended by an SUV near the junction of the 401 and Highway 427.
OPP Sgt. Kerry Schmidt told CP24 that a woman driving the car was killed and the SUV driver suffered minor injuries.
The woman's name has not yet been released.
The roads in the area have since reopened.
