Hamilton police say they've arrested a man in connection with alleged sexual assaults dating back to at least the mid 1990s.
They say they began investigating the historic claims in February of this year and say they've identified at least two alleged victims to date.
Police provided few details, but say at least one of the victims alleges childhood sexual abuse that took place between 1995 and 1999.
Police say 53-year-old Edward Hughes of Hamilton is facing two counts each of sexual assault, sexual interference and invitation to sexual touching.
Police say they believe there may be other victims and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
