A University of Toronto graduate celebrated his graduation in a unique way: with a backflip across the stage.
David Szeto asked his family to help film his convocation ceremony at U of T's Scarborough campus on Monday. The entire incident was posted on YouTube.
"I've spent years working towards this very moment," Szeto wrote on YouTube.
"What better way to celebrate than by throwing a back flip?"
The 90-second video shows Szeto on stage among a group of fellow graduates. He waves to the cheering crowd then springs back into a flip, while wearing his black graduation gown.
His black-and-white hood falls to the ground during the flip. The audience gasps and then cheers.
The same flip is then seen from different angles around the room, before cutting to a shot of Szeto cartwheeling across a lawn on campus in his academic robes.
