VAUGHAN, Ont. - Police are hunting for two suspects after they say a family with young children was robbed at gunpoint during a home invasion in Vaughan, north of Toronto.
York Regional Police say the parents and their three young children were in their home (in the area of Weston Road and Major Mackenzie Drive) at about 6 p.m. Sunday when two male suspects forced their way in, armed with handguns.
It's alleged the father and two of the children were tied up while the mother, holding her infant, was forced at gunpoint to open the safe in the residence.
It's also alleged the suspects forced everyone into a closet before fleeing the scene with a quantity of cash and personal documents.
Police say no one was physically injured during the incident.
Both suspects are described as Asian males, about 18 to 25 years old, wearing dark clothing and armed with black handguns.
