Police in Halton Region say they’ve charged two men with drug and weapons related offences after executing a search warrant at a residence in Oakville.

Officers executed the warrant at a residence on Ripley Court near Roylen Road in North Oakville on Friday.

Investigators say they seized an undisclosed quantity of drugs including cocaine, oxycodone and marijuana with an approximate overall street value of $2,400.

A loaded shotgun and a replica handgun were also located inside the residence and seized, police say.

Two men are now facing charges in connection with the raid, police say.

Oakville resident John David Marrin, 22, was arrested and charged with a number of offences including trafficking a controlled substance, failure to comply with a probation order, possession of a firearm without a license and careless storage of a firearm.

He has been remanded in custody for a bail hearing.

A second suspect identified as Robert Tutic, 21, of Oakville was also arrested in relation to the investigation. He has been charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance.

He is scheduled to appear in court on August 30.
