Is Toronto-born rapper Drake opening a store for his clothing line in his hometown?

The rapper posted a photo to Instagram of a store front featuring the October's Very Own (OVO) label over the weekend, sparking rumours that the first store might be in Toronto.

Drake has opened pop-up shops in the past, but this would be the rapper's first storefront.

The photo was captioned: "Proud of my guy @oliverelkhatib OVO Store opening soon #6side," referring to OVO's creative head Oliver El Khatib.

The hashtag may refer to Toronto, Drake has been nicknamed "The 6."

The origin of the nickname are unclear, but some suggest it's because the number appears in the city's area codes, 416 and 647. Others say the number refers to Toronto's amalgamation of six areas: Toronto, Etobicoke, Scarborough, North York, East York and York.

The hashtag is also a reference to Drake's upcoming record "Views From the 6."

Currently, OVO clothing can only be purchased online.
