Police have arrested a suspect in a break-and-enter case following a four-vehicle collision in Brampton early Thursday morning.

Peel Regional Police said a man broke in to the Khazana restaurant at 9121 Airport Rd., just north of Queen Street, at approximately 6 a.m.

The restaurant's owner told CTV Toronto's Janice Golding that surveillance video shows a man entering through the back door, then trying to steal cash from the register. The owner says a man can be walking around the restaurant for more than 20 minutes in the security camera footage.

Police were called to the scene of the break in, but the man fled in a vehicle when they arrived.

A few minutes later, the suspect's vehicle crashed into three other cars on Queen Street near Chrysler Drive.

Paramedics said two people suffered non-life threatening injuries from the crash, while the suspect was taken into custody.

David Richards, 55, of Bolton has been charged with:
