BRADFORD, Ont. - Police and the coroner's office are investigating after a man was killed by a car that fell on him while he was working underneath it at his home in central Ontario.

The incident happened Tuesday night in Bradford, north of Toronto.

Police say the man was doing some work on his car when it fell on him and trapped him underneath.

He was home alone at the time and was not discovered until some time after the incident occurred.

Emergency workers were called to the home and firefighters were able to extricate the man, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say the victim's identity will not be released.
