Environment Canada is predicting a sunny, warm Tuesday. The predicted high is 22 C, but it may feel as warm as 25 C in the afternoon. The weather agency expects a UV Index of 4, or moderate.

TRAFFIC

Westbound traffic on the Highway 401, between Meadowvale and Markham Roads, is moving slowly this morning. Vehicles travelling on the Highway 404 north of Toronto, between Stouffville Road and Major Mackenzie Drive East, should also expect some delays.

New poll shows John Tory's lead widening

A poll conducted by Nanos Research shows that John Tory's lead over Toronto's other mayoral candidates is widening as the election draws nearer. Nearly half of voters surveyed said they would vote for Tory, compared to 27 per cent who support Doug Ford and 24 per cent who back Olivia Chow.

Man arrested in Frigo murder bred dogs for victim

A man arrested in connection with the death of a Toronto-area executive bred dogs for the victim before he was fatally shot.

Don Frigo, 70, was shot while training his hunting dogs in a rural area near Clinton, Ont. on Sept. 13. His wife Eva was wounded, but escaped on horseback.

On Sunday, dog breeder Boris Panovski was arrested at Pearson International Airport.

After a 14-4 win against the Seattle Mariners on Monday night, the Toronto Blue Jays will play the Mariners again at the Rogers Centre. The game starts at 7:07 p.m.
