GEORGIAN BAY TOWNSHIP, Ont. - Ontario's provincial police have identified three men killed in a float plane crash in southern Georgian Bay.
Grey County OPP say the victims are Richard Leland Gougeon, 71, and James Thornton Gougeon, 43, both of Sudbury, Ont., along with the pilot, Richard Ross, 51, of Walden, Ont.
They say all three are related and have been taken to London, Ont., for autopsies.
Police say it's still not known what caused the plane to hit the water near Griffith Island off Grey County Thursday afternoon.
They say the Cessna plane was in its final approach to land on Griffith Island when it crashed into the water, about 220 meters short of the runway.
The Transportation Safety Board of Canada has investigators at the crash scene.
