MISSISSAUGA, Ont. -- Peel regional police say a man and woman are facing charges following an attempted murder and kidnapping investigation in Mississauga, Ont.
Police say a 22-year-old Mississauga man went to a home on Saturday to meet with a 21-year-old woman.
Shortly after he arrived, investigators allege an armed man showed up and the victim was assaulted by both accused, then taken to an area where he was again assaulted and left unconscious.
Police say the 22-year-old was treated in hospital and released.
Andrew Oliver Campbell, 37, of Mississauga, faces numerous charges including several weapons counts, aggravated assault, kidnapping and attempted murder.
Heather LaFleur, 21, of Mississauga, is charged with aggravated assault, kidnapping and attempted murder.
