A woman suffered life-threatening injuries after a single-vehicle crash in Scarborough, police say.
The accident occurred shortly after 9 p.m. on Tuesday on Highway 401 near Port Union Road.
Ontario Provincial Police Sgt. Kerry Schmidt said the woman was driving on the eastbound lanes of the highway when she struck debris and lost control of the vehicle.
The eastbound collectors lanes on Highway 401 are closed between Port Union Road and Whites Road as police investigate. Express lanes remain open.
