Teen charged with impaired driving after car hits house
A 19-year-old male faces multiple charges, including impaired driving, after a car slammed into a house in north Toronto early Monday morning.
Police said the teen’s car was driven into a house located near Lawrence Avenue and Mt. Pleasant Road around 4 a.m.
The suspect attempted to flee the scene on foot, but officers arrested him a short time later, said Sgt. Scott Kingdon of 32 Division.
The accident caused an estimated $100,000 in damage.
The suspect faces one charge of impaired driving and one charge of driving with a blood alcohol level over 80 mgs.
