Toronto police have charged a 14-year-old boy with attempted murder in connection to a stabbing that took place near the Scotiabank Caribbean Carnival parade route late Saturday night.
Police say a male victim was found suffering from two stab wounds to the chest following an altercation near Lake Shore Boulevard and Dowling Avenue at around 7 p.m.
Officials say the victim, whose name and age have not been released, remains in hospital in serious condition.
The identity of the suspect is protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
