Toronto police have issued a Canada-wide warrant for a man wanted in connection to the shooting death of a 20-year-old Toronto man last month.
On May 24, Douglas Parker arrived at 66 Walpole Ave., with several friends in a taxi. Parker and his friends were shot shortly after arriving. His friends received non-life threatening injuries, but Parker died on the scene.
Conrad Grizzle, 20, is now wanted for one count of second degree murder and two counts of attempted murder.
Police said they attempted to bring Grizzle into custody on Monday night, but were unsuccessful. At a news conference Tuesday afternoon, Det. Joyce Schertzer said "there are criminal consequences to providing him comfort, shelter, assistance in any way, and those who harbour Conrad Grizzle will be prosecuted accordingly."
Schertzer added, "the chief of police has afforded our investigative team every resource available to bring him into custody."
Police believe an existing dispute may have led to the shooting.
Grizzle is considered armed and dangerous, and people are warned to avoid contact with him, and call 9-1-1 if he is spotted.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-8477 (TIPS).
