Police say a Saturday night shooting that left one man dead and three others injured may have been a targeted attack.
Douglas Parker, a man in his early 20s, was shot and killed outside a housing complex on Walpole Avenue, near Greenwood Avenue and Gerrard Street East, around 9 p.m. on Saturday, Toronto police said.
Police said three others were also injured in the attack. Two of the victims are now in stable condition in hospital and the third has been treated and released, police said. All of the victims were friends.
Investigators say there are looking for one suspect. A description of the suspect has not been released.
Witnesses said they heard multiple gunshots Saturday night, but thought they were fireworks.
The deceased had no recent history with police but was known to them, investigators said. He did not live at the housing complex.
Police are investigating the scene and looking for a possible dropped weapon.
