WHITBY, Ont. -- Police say a man is dead and two people suffered minor injuries when a pickup truck and a Durham Region Transit bus collided in Whitby, Ont.
Police say witnesses have reported that the driver of the pickup lost control and collided with the bus on Wednesday morning.
The driver of the truck -- a 46-year-old Stouffville man -- was transported to a local hospital and then to a Toronto trauma hospital where he died of his injuries.
The bus had three passengers on board at the time, and investigators say two of them were taken to hospital, treated for their injuries and released.
