Police have released photos of several high-end items recovered as a result of a break-and-enter investigation in York region.
The investigation began in December, when a series of residential break-ins were reported to York Regional Police. Jewelry and other expensive items were stolen from the homes, police said.
Three people were arrested and charged in connection with the case on Dec. 14.
Following the arrests, officers executed several search warrants, and recovered a large amount of jewelry, cameras and other expensive items.
On Thursday, officers published a photo gallery of the recovered items, hoping that the victims of the thefts will recognize their items. Those who have been victims of theft are encouraged to scroll through the photos online.
The gallery includes photos of leather purses, watches, coin collections, bejewelled brooches, pocket knives and cigars.
Many of the items appear to be designer, with brand names including Tory Birch, Kate Spade, Gucci, Michael Kors and Burberry. The haul also includes Canon and Sony cameras, iPods and a Nokia flip phone.
The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with more information is asked to contact police at 1-866-876-5423, ext. 2408. Tips can also be left anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
