Four people have been taken to hospital after a multi-vehicle crash in Vaughan.
The accident occurred at approximately 2:30 p.m. at the intersection of Pine Valley Drive and Rutherford Road, York Regional Police said.
A black Acura MDX with three occupants crossed the centre line and crashed into three other vehicles. It is not known what caused the Acura to cross into the westbound lanes.
The Acura struck a Pontiac Torrent, Toyota Camry and Mazda 2. The driver of the Camry, a 74-year-old man, was airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries. His condition has since improved to non-life-threatening.
Two other drivers and two passengers were transported to hospital with minor injuries.
