BARRIE, Ont. - An elderly man riding a mobility scooter was struck and killed Wednesday evening south of Barrie, Ont.
South Simcoe police say the scooter was struck by behind at about 6:30 p.m. (on 5th Side Road of Innisfil just south of Salem Rd.).
The victim was pronounced dead in hospital.
None of the people in the minivan were injured.
The victim's name and age will not be released until relatives are notified.
Police have not indicated if charges will be laid.
