Snow is in the forecast for Sunday, which could result in slowdowns across the city. Luckily, the cold weather means there are few major road closures scheduled.
Lake Shore Boulevard closures
The westbound passing lane will be occupied from Rees Street to Van De Water Crescent by tunnel construction from 9 a.m. to midnight every day until the end of February.
Major road closures
Some lanes of the Allen Roadway between Yorkdale Road and Wilson Heights Boulevard will be blocked on Friday until 2 p.m. The northbound and southbound right lanes, right shoulders and left lanes will be occupied, one lane at a time, as streetlights are replaced.
Gardiner Expressway closures
Two lanes of the westbound Gardiner are occupied all day, every day until Aug. 1, between Spadina Avenue and Park Lawn Road. Eastbound, two lanes will be occupied from Park Lawn Road to the Humber River.
The Gardiner will be reduced to two lanes between Jameson Avenue and Bathurst Street due to ongoing repairs, all day every day until June 1.
One lane of traffic in each direction will be closed from the Canadian National Exhibition grounds to Grand Magazine Street likely until May.
TTC closures and diversions
There are no major route closures planned this weekend. A full list of diversions is available online.
