ST. CATHARINES, Ont. - A retired Brock University geography professor will spend 20 months in jail after pleading guilty to child pornography charges.
Keith Tinkler of St. Catharines, had 343 child pornography images on his home and work computer when police arrested him last year.
He pleaded guilty yesterday to possession of child pornography and distribution of child pornography.
Court heard Tinkler was using a real-time chat site on his home computer when he began communicating with an undercover police officer from Toronto.
Over the course of chatting, he sent the officer images of naked pubescent girls and of himself aroused.
He also described graphic acts he wanted to see done to young girls.
