Police are asking for the public’s help locating a 49-year-old elementary school teacher missing since Monday morning.
Douglas Queen was last seen in the College Street and Brock Avenue area at around 8:30 a.m.
Police said they are concerned for his safety. A command post set up in Humber Bay Park East, off Marine Parade Drive, was taken down late Wednesday afternoon.
In a Twitter post sent Wednesday afternoon, Toronto police 11 Division Commander Heinz Kuck asked that Queen reach out if he reads the message.
“Doug, if you see this, if you read this, (please) call (your) home, or (please) call me direct 416-808-1114,” the tweet reads. “We all care.”
Queen is a music teacher at Brock Public School, located at 93 Margueretta St., Toronto District School Board spokesperson Ryan Bird confirmed.
Sources tell CP24 Queen was on home assignment.
Queen is described by police as white, six-foot-five, with shaved grey hair and a thin build. He was last seen wearing a brown golf sweater, beige pants and a blue jacket.
Anyone with information on Queen’s whereabouts is asked to contact police at 416-808-1100 or Crime Stoppers at 416-222-TIPS (8477).
