Peel police say they have found signs of a “serious assault” at a Mississauga townhome.
Officers were called to a housing complex in the area of Morning Star and Goreway Drives at approximately 6:10 a.m.
Peel police Const. George Tudos said tactical and canine units were also on the scene, but police say they weren’t able to locate a victim or a suspect in the incident.
Tudos said the investigation is ongoing.
On Thursday, a 53-year-old suffered life-threatening injuries after an assault at the nearby Westwood Mall. The man died in hospital Saturday afternoon.
There is no evidence suggesting the two incidents were related.
