Toronto Police have laid more than 200 charges against three adults and a young offender suspected in a string of robberies.

In a news release issued Friday, police say the suspects carried out robberies at 11 Chinese restaurants and one bank over a six-month period.

"They assaulted the employees and customers (and) robbed them of their cash and personal property," police said.

Working with York Regional Police and the Toronto Police intelligence unit, the guns and gang squads of 52, 32, and 41 Division executed warrants at five Toronto homes and upon two vehicles on Thursday.

"Police seized a sawed-off shotgun, ammunition, a replica handgun, a knife and cash," police said.

The charges include robbery, firearms and property-related offences.

Jordan Wilson, 19; Gary Hanson, 20; Raseedi McKenley, 25; and a 16-year-old boy are to appear in court on Saturday.

The teenager can't be named under provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
