Peel police say they are leaving “everything on the table” as they investigate the murder of a Mississauga man who was once convicted of impaired driving causing death.

Caleb Harrison, 41, was found dead inside his home on Pitch Pine Crescent early Friday afternoon after a co-worker grew concerned when he failed to show up for work.

According to police, Harrison is the same man who was handed an 18-month sentence in March 2009 for his role in a drunk driving accident that left a 44-year-old taxi driver dead.

Police also say that the 2010 death of Harison’s mother Bridget in the same Pitch Pine Crescent home her son was found in is considered suspicious and remains an active case.

Harrison's father William also died in the same home in 2009, however that death is not considered suspicious.

“We haven’t linked anything, however everything is on the table,” Det. Sgt. Randy Cowan told reporters Sunday afternoon. “We are doing a complete 360 of this individual’s life and anyone that had any sort of connection with this individual as we do in all homicide cases.”

According to police, Harrison was last seen alive Thursday evening at Erin Gate Park, where he was coaching the baseball team his two children play on.

After the game Harrison dropped both children off at their mother’s house and continued westbound towards his home.

“We are seeking the public’s assistance in tracking down his last steps and his last movements before he came home,” Cowan said. “We are interested if anyone saw him out that night and we are also interested if anyone saw the green Mustang that we believe he was operating.”

Cause of death not revealed

Harrison's death was originally deemed suspicious, but was upgraded to a homicide Saturday evening.

The cause of death has not been released, but on Sunday Cowan told reporters that "it wasn't something so obvious" that police would call the death a homicide from the get go.

Cowan also said that police have not found any signs of forced entry at the home Harrison was found inside.
