As high winds blew across southern Ontario on Monday, many people took to Twitter to share photos of the damage left behind by the windstorm that also caused blackouts in pockets of Toronto.

In Burlington, the strong winds caused significant damage at the Airpark, a private aerodrome. CTV Toronto freelance photographer said the winds ripped the roof off the hanger.

A wind warning for Toronto and much of southern Ontario was issued by Environment Canada earlier on Monday. The national weather agency expected the winds to diminish Monday night, or Tuesday morning.
