A 75-year-old old woman is dead after she was struck by a vehicle backing out of a driveway Monday morning.
Toronto EMS said the woman was struck as she was walking near Bayview and Byng Avenues, in the city’s north end, shortly before 10 a.m.
Toronto police said the woman was struck by Lexus RX350 as a 54-year-old woman was backing it out of a driveway.
The 75-year-old woman was rushed to hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Police are asking anyone with information about the collision to contact them.
