KAWARTHA LAKES, Ont. -- Provincial police say they're investigating an alleged theft of an antique canoe from a home in Kawartha Lakes, Ont.
They allege the theft took place sometime between the evening of Aug. 28 and 6 a.m. the following morning.
Police allege at least one suspect broke the padlock on the door of a shop located on a residential property in the city.
Once inside, police allege the suspects made off with a 4.6-metre red cedar canoe, four seats and other canoeing equipment.
They did not estimate the value of the boat but describe it as an antique.
