One man has died after an industrial accident in Vaughan on Friday morning.

York Regional Police said they were informed of the incident at a shipping facility on Doney Crescent, in the Keele Street and Highway 7 area, shortly before 7 a.m.

Police said they arrived to find a man crushed between two transport trucks with very serious injuries. Responding officers tried to save his life, but he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead on the scene.

Police said they believe the victim was a 51-year-old Markham man, who was the driver of a transport truck. He may have been crushed during loading.

York Regional Police and the Ministry of Labour are investigating the accident.
