One person is dead after a plane crashed at Huronia Airport, north of Barrie, Ont.

OPP Sgt. Peter Leon told CTV Barrie that the plane crashed upon landing, shortly before 2 p.m. on Monday. The Transportation Safety Board said the plane was a Challenger II ultralight aircraft.

Police say the pilot was the only person aboard at the time of the crash, and there are no other injuries reported at this time.

The Transportation Safety Board is investigating the crash.
