Counc. Norm Kelly wants to keep the city “cool” by adding more signs like the giant 3-D letters that spell “Toronto” at Nathan Phillips Square.

The Toronto sign, a legacy of the Pan Am Games, has found a permanent home outside City Hall and has become a go-to destination for tourists.

Kelly will bring forward the idea of adding three new giant signs with Toronto’s nicknames to city council next week.

If Kelly gets his way, the proposed 3-D signs would say “T.O”, “T DOT”, and “THE 6,” which is Drake’s nickname for the city.

Kelly suggests that private partnerships would pay for the new signs.
